Macquarie Legal provide obligation free consultations via telephone or in person.

 

A consultation involves talking generally about the legal problem and identifying a general sense of the work involved to achieve the best possible outcome.

 

Client meetings can take place at offices located on the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast (and in special cases home visits).

Preparation of the Case

 

Following our initial consultation and subsequent assessment of your claim, Macquarie Legal will commence preliminary investigations to obtain the documents or information necessary to proceed with your matter.

 

Depending on the type of matter, these initial steps may require completion of particular notices required under the numerous Acts, Regulations and other legislation that govern litigation in Queensland. Just as no two people are the same, no two claims are the same. That is why Macquarie Legal takes the time to determine what particular requirements your claim may need.

 

Depending on these individual requirements Macquarie Legal may obtain expert evidence or engage the services of a barrister in order to maximise the result you obtain.

 

Fees

 

Our fee structures vary by the case. Fees vary because they always depend on the seriousness of the matter at stake, the timing and expediency of the case, the anticipated volume and complexity of work, the desired results and other client expectations.

 

Depending upon the case, we may even offer a No Win No Fee or Deferred Fee costs structure.

 

Our fees are generally below other larger law firms simply because you are not paying for the extravagant furnishings of the expensive firms.

 

No Win No Fee and Deferred Fee Options

 

We offer No Win No Fee representation in personal injury matters. Generally, this means that Macquarie Legal will accept your case but will not receive any fee unless your case is successfully completed. As part of the No Win No Fee agreement with Macquarie Legal, you will not have to cover the various expenses incurred during the claim such as medical report or barrister fees until the matter is successfully completed. Macquarie Legal will provide a written fee agreement at the commencement of your action. This is a reasonably lengthy document required by Queensland law that simply sets out the fee arrangement.
